Biopsy: October 2008 – PSA 13.1Biopsy undertaken March 2009 

Adenocarcinoma of the prostate confirmed by biopsy:

Gleason 4 + 3 in 12 cores, 4 + 4 in 1 core, 4+5 in one core

Histology from biopsy revealed pT3a disease

Scans: MRI scan done on 26/3/2009 T3b disease with invasion of right seminal vesticle at apex and multiple large lymph nodes including right common and external iliac lymph nodes.Whole body bone scan 25/3/2009 – no evidence of bony metastases. 

CT scan 26/2/10 – stable with regard to lymphadenopathy

Bone density scan 13/4/10 – osteopenia

CT scan – 31/8/10 – reduced lymph activity

Whole body bone scan – 6/9/10 no metastases

Whole body bone scan – 27/2/12

CT scan – 3/3/12

PSA: October 2008 – PSA 13.1 

April 2009  PSA 0.78

March 2010 PSA 1.8

January 2011 PSA 4.4

Treatment: Zoladex commenced April 2009Nadir PSA 0.78 in October 2009 – March 2010 PSA 1.8 

March 2010 Casodex 50mg added

Started taking Bisphosponate (Alendronic Acid)

Nadir PSA 0.59 in March 2010 – January 2011 PSA 4.4

Docetaxel chemotherapy (10 cycles planned but only 8 completed) started January 2011.

Steroid (predisolone) continues after chemo

Radiotherapy started on 12th September 2011 – 20 sessions
