Protective bubble

Here is an idea I picked up from a course at the Penny Brohn Centre in Bristol. You can use it whenever you feel theatened or vulnerable. I find it quite useful.

Just imagine a protective bubble like a shield out and around you,

You can decide what you wish to enter your bubble, (positive statements or people), and what you wish to filter out of it, You can then review the situation later when you feel relaxed and safe, and objectively evaluate what was said or done,

PRACTICE

In your imagination, let yourself begin to create a protective bubble around yourself, This will help you filter out thoughts, words or deeds that you wish to keep out …… while allowing thoughts, words or deeds that are healthy or positive to dome into your ’sphere’ of being, Your bubble is invisible and only you know where it is around your body, and how close it is to you …… let your bubble begin to move out away from your skin …… Imagine that you wish to protect yourself from an event or person ……. In whatever way that feels right for you, become aware of your protective bubble, and place it wherever you need it to be …… close to your skin or further out from your body ….. This is your special way of protecting yourself, receiving what you wish for yourself, and staying relaxed and calm.

For healing – draw in a colour – whatever feels right for the day – or see the bubble reflecting all the colours of the rainbow
