there’s nothing new upon this earth
that spins through time and space
each day it turns and turns around
and ends up in the same place
the morning sun rises each day
at night it goes away
and nothing that we do or say
can make it change its way
the words of the prophet ring true
‘there’s nothing new under the sun’
we can only be true to ourselves
until our little race is won
for the rhythm of life is an eternal beat
that goes forever on
and will for all eternity
sing its glorious song
