Where has the future gone?
I knew it once,
But now there’s a void,
An empty blackness ahead of me.
I used to have plans,
Ambitions, schemes and dreams,
Now I learn to live each day,
Not knowing what’s to come.
And in my darkest moments,
When morbid brooding takes its toll,
I feel a creeping numbness,
As if my life is slowly drifting, drifting away.
