Into the void

One step,
Just one small step,
No hesitation,
As we step into the void,
And our future together.

Clothed with freedom at last,
All worries gone,
Nothing left but our love,
As we fly together,
Into eternity.

I read a story in the newspaper,
It was about a couple called Neil and Kazumi,
One day they drove to Beachy Head,
And there they jumped – jumped into the void.

One step,
Just one small step,
No hesitation,
As we step into the void,
And our future together.

All worries gone,
Nothing left but our love,
As we fly together,
Into eternity.

They had a son called Sam,
A child they loved with all their heart,
But he was hurt in a car accident,
And couldn’t walk or talk.

And then poor Sam became really ill,
The doctors said they couldn’t help,
Sam went home from the hospital,
And died in mum and dad’s arms.

So then they packed the car and went,
They took two rucksacks with them,
One for Sam and one for his toys,
And together they jumped into the void.
