The warm summer sun,
Blue skies wide and clear,
Empty is my mind.

White blossoms fall from the tree,

The deep dark black of autumn,

Wet shiny pavements,

The rain falls softly.
Red and golden brown,
Leaves fall from the autumn trees -
Time starts to wind down.
Sky of dreary grey,
Heaviness hangs in the air -
An October day.
Sun rises with bright rays,
The world is bathed in orange -
My heart fills with warmth.
Blah, Blah, endless words,
Empty talk into the air -
Just another meeting.
The wind blows strongly,
Leaves scatter here and everywhere -
My mind is unsettled.
Light drips through the trees,
Running across the dark earth -
My life drifts away.
Clouds float in the air,
They hang by gossamer threads -
Empty thoughts appear
A bright sunny day,
The sound of children laughing -
But I feel so sad.
Peeling the orange,
Smell of sunshine and rain -
Old wrinkled skin.
