Have just been told that I have been booked in for a bone scan and MRI scan tomorrow at the Royal Free. The results will be important to see how far the cancer has spread. I was shocked when I received the gleason scores (8/9) from my biopsy on the 13th March – I think I had lulled myself into the false belief that the scores would be low and was consequently taken aback when they came in so high. I do not want to make that mistake again. At the moment I think the best I can hope for is a diagnosis of locally advanced cancer.
